Tryptophan is involved in the process that creates melatonin. Melatonin is a hormone that plays a role in your sleep and wake cycle. You can get more tryptophan by taking supplements or by eating it. Examples of foods that contain tryptophan are:

2. Dim the lights in the evening
This hack comes back to melatonin again. Another thing that affects the creation of melatonin is the amount of light. Mainly light will stop your body from producing as much melatonin. So by dimming the lights in the evening it allows our body to know that it is getting darker.

It is an odd one that can seem kinda creepy to do but it can work. Sticking one foot out of the covers will help keep you cool. Our body will actually drop in temperature right before we go to sleep. If you are too warm it makes it harder for this to happen. So doing something as simple as sticking a foot out can be enough to keep your temperature in check.

It makes all the noise sound like white noise. This basically drowns out all the noise by turning it into one sound. It also means that your brain will pay less attention to the sound.
No, you don’t have to join a cult or anything. This can be really effective so give it a shot. Simply imagine yourself falling asleep in an easy and relaxed manner. Make it as vivid as possible. Doing this while you are lying in bed can have huge benefit. Give it a few minutes a night for a couple of weeks and see if it helps you.
